Peter Donnelly is an award winning Irish illustrator and author living in Co. Wicklow.
For over 25 years he has collaborated with a wide range of clients both at home and abroad. His style is influenced by mid century art, folk art and 1950/60s animation design. His work can be seen across many brands from Austrian tea boxes and Irish luxury crisps to UK pizza restaurants and Australian magazine editorials. Outside of advertising he is known as a bestselling children’s picture book maker winning the An Post Children’s Book of the Year in 2018 and 2023.
His illustrations have been recognised by the IDI Irish Design Awards, The Creative Club Austria and the German Design Awards as well as being featured in Creative Quarterly: The Journal of Art and Design, 3x3 The Magazine of Contemporary Illustration and Taschen’s Illustration Now!
